This store is almost exactly like the 5th Ave NYC store. But the people in this store are nicer.
The cult following of the Louis Vuitton Handbag phenomena really freaks me out. Am I the only woman who would like to burn a handbag in effigy on the corner of
Geary and Stockton? I would try, only I can see the sheep with their eyes all aglow walking toward the light of the burning embers of the purse with the mistaken
thought that it's a beacon beckoning them to throw down more greenbacks at this Union Square LV boutique.
I am all for good quality stuff but a purse that looks like rainbow brite has stamped all over it doesn't qualify, in my mind, as a classic wardrobe piece for my
accessory arsenal.
And one more thing- I'm a grown woman, I don't need to impress other grown women with the handbag I own. I want something more unique than what everyone else has,
anyway.Went there earlier this month to get this bag that I've been wanting and since it was over a thousand bucks, it was great that they were super nice! lol they
told us about getting it hot stamped for free and told us to comeback the next day because they were about to close. We did comeback the next day and left it at the
store and they told us to comeback in an hour. Came back an hour later and they said nobody did it and told us to comeback the next day. UGH! Such a freaking hassle!
I just got my tax refund and I am soooo tempted to blow it on the LV bag I've been eyeing for a year or so now. The clutch I wanted has been discontinued, but the
new purse that I am lusting is a nice $670. Walking into the LV store on Geary, I am overwhelmed by all the different styles (I prepared by checking out the fashion
guide books from Japan that show EVERY model of LV in existence), but the space is big and classic LV.
This particular LV store seems to be pretty busy all the time, and the customer service tends to fluctuate from good to non-existent. I'd probably rather buy it
from the new LV boutique at Bloomingdale's...or wait till I go back to Hawaii where the sales tax is only 4% and they offer a 5% discount for some reason...now if I
could only convince myself that buying a new LV bag is a *necessary* expense...
